Nancy what a wonderful message with George tonight. As a design instructor at a university, I have witnessed the loss of 'presence' and complete take-over of the virtual over the last 20 years. When my partner and I travel, the selfie stick is everywhere...We spent part of last summer in Chaco Canyon, a significant Puebloan Ancestral site in New Mexico one drives on dirt roads almost an hour to get to. Dark skies, cell phone only at the ranger station- fantastic. We stayed an extra day. Great to talk half way around the world on Skype, great to use GPS-all great adds to the world, but the real wonder isn't that, it's being learning from quiet, with self and world.
