hi jill,
sounds like you are working with a lot of challenges, and so much of the work is letting yourself be as you are. allowing all the emotions that come with those to be present and also, to not fully identify with them. anxiety, depression, all of it can be arising while at the same honoring the space and awareness within which it is arising. so letting yourself be as you are and being compassionately aware of that experience. you can also read in "inviting a onkey to teac" and "can't stop thinking" two of my books, how to practice these teachings in your own life. keep me posted, and above all offer yourself grace. warmest,

Hello, I read your article in Psychology Today, “How to Be In the Present Moment When We Don’t Like the Present Moment.” I appreciated it as it validated a lot of what I am feeling about the “be in the present moment” advice. Additional problems I have, are that I have a long-term illness called Benzodiazepine-Induced Neurological-Induced Dysfunction (BIND). I am about 16 mos. through it. I also have chronic depression, generalized anxiety, and cPTSD. I believe all of these conditions make negative emotions feel 10x as bad as if I did not have them. Do you have suggestions for how to face this? Thank you
