thanks so much for this article! I live in Prague, Czech Republic, and my daughter is 11 years old, but for 6 years now, it is the same story. She plays piano, because we, her parents, want her to do it. She practices, when she is told to practice. And, yes, she is somewhat proud when she can play something to her friends. 
In the end of the last school year, I told her she can quit with piano, if she want to. But in the end, my husband talked her to keep on. So our story continues...]]></description>
