The apologizer is taking responsibility at some level for the result of their actions, intended or not. And when that happens, our insides relax; we don’t have to fight anymore to prove that our experience is valid, that we are entitled to our hurt, and that it matters.”

THIS!! This is why it is hard to heal the upset that is caused by the other person. We need to feel validated for our experience! Thank you for taking the time to write this article. It was very helpful.
